This is a feature I wrote on Andrew Ross, an artist who graduated from Dreyfoos in 2007. I wrote this during summer break while in New York. I got to visit his studio and interview him while being surrounded by all his in-progress artwork. This story was published in the 2022 fall issue of The Muse.
The Students Behind the Dances

This story features interviews from 3 different student choreographers for my school's Spirit Week dances. Published on The Muse website during Spirit Week, the story explains the processes, inspirations, and the challenges these students faced. A major aspect of the angle was exploring how returning choreographers were navigating the task this year compared to last year, as well as the sentiments of the first-time (freshmen) choreographers. In writing this piece, I faced struggles in obtaining interviews during this hectic week, but was still able to get effective quotes in time.
